Finley decided she was going to write a book the other day. So she went to work and got all her pictures done and she tells a pretty funny store with it, but this is by far my favorite page...
Notice anything familiar? Yep, she plagiarized!
She said she was using it for inspiration. Matt's tie is the best part. I knew something was up when the story went from necklaces to a wedding, as this photo was taken at Cameron and Andy's wedding. Robby and I actually think she is getting ready for Halloween, since we all look kind of skeletal.

Yeah for Ballet!!
Finley started ballet/tap last week and LOVED it!
Although moms aren't allowed in the room, I was able to sneak a few pictures...
They switch to tap halfway through...
And did I mention they dance to Dinsey Princess music? What could be better for a bunch of four year old girls?

Sixty Bucks
What can you get for Sixty Bucks?
-
If you are Finley Jane's little brother you can get this...
Finley came up with an idea today that went a little like this:
-
FJ: Mom, I am going to separate all these animals into boy animals and girl animals.
-
Mom: OK
-
FJ: I think my little brother will like the boy animals.
-
Mom: I bet he would love them. Are you going to let him have the boy ones?
-
FJ: I am going to sell them to him.
-
Mom: You are? How much?
-
FJ: Sixty Bucks!
A Place to Sleep
All babies need a place that is theirs...
-
A place they know is safe to close their eyes and sleep.
-
I am so thankful I was able to help Matt and Mandi create this space for their little girl on the way.
-
Mandi picked out the fabric, Matt gave his nod of approval and I put it all together. Mandi let me have free range. All I had to do was use the blue paisley on the outside of the bumper and use the brown for the bed skirt. While the crib pictured is ours and the sheets were Finley's you can get an idea of where their little one will be resting her head...hopefully!
The details...
A peek-a-boo pleat
Brown Ties
Covered Buttons
And of course a Monogram

First Day of School
Can you believe she has gone from this...
to this?
I can't!
It seems like yesterday I called Robby and told him to meet me at the hospital because Finley Jane was on her way. Now she is starting real school! She is so ready. Although she did not cry when we dropped her off, not the same can be said for mom. What a trooper that little girl is! She loved her new school and teacher. Her teacher even said she was a model student. She might tell that to all her new moms, but we can hope!
She wanted to run to school, but after the first fall, we had to slow it down a bit. And after the second fall on the short walk to school, Daddy went back to the house to get her different shoes. What a great Daddy he is.
All in all it was a pretty long day for mom and dad, but she made it with flying colors!
She is going to make a great big sister to her little brother.

Robby and I are expecting a little boy and Matt and Mandi and expecting a girl! We are so exciting to have one of each joining the family. Finley Jane is over the moon about a little brother and a girl cousin to share all her pink stuff.

Fun, Fripp, Friends, Fourth and Family!!!
Wow O Wow!
Where does the time go?
I know it has been forever since the last post, but we have been so busy! We have had a fun filled summer and it is not even close to being over yet.
So far we have managed to...
Hit the beach with the Freemans and Mamaw for Memorial weekend! Always so much fun. The Freeman/Hancock bunch are great to be around and just full of love for all.
We spent the week at Fripp Island with Babe, the Ellis clan and the Woods.
My favorite trip of the summer. Not to mention all the babysitters and cousins willing to spend all day in the water with our little fish.
Did I mention we also had another round of swim lessons
before we even left for the beach trip?
Graduation from Trinity... Finley Jane has gone to school here since she was just six weeks old. It breaks my heart she will be leaving at the end of the month to start big school. She will be headed to an elementary school right around the corner to start Pre-K. I know, it does not seem like she is even near old enough to do that, but she is and she is ready!
We also took a weekend trip to cool off with the Grogans in Sky Valley. It is always so much fun to go anywhere with them. They are so entertaining and Finley and Ben just love each other. Ben is such a good sport to obey Finley and her motherly instincts.
Here we are at the Athfest, again with the Grogans. She absolutely loves that trampoline thing. It does not get high enough for her! It was so hot that day, but the kids were sports and never complained.
Have you ever seen such madness? This is just a itty-bitty section of the Fourth of July parade we went to in Peachtree City. It goes on like this for miles.
I know, way too many golf carts!
They even have police officers on the cart paths directing traffic.
Crazy, but oh so fun!!!
Here is a quick pic of what Mandi has described as Gypsy-ville.
It is really just people staking their claim to a good spot to watch the fireworks.
Only the staking starts two days prior to the big event!
Madness.
Here she is with her Babe and Bon-Bon ready to catch some candy!
She was very worried someone was going to take her candy,
so this was her solution,
just sit in it...
Her best bud, Leroi.
Here is a picture of the All American family.
Aren't we cute?
We even have a semi-picket fence around our front yard.
Know what else we have?
1.5 kids!!!
That's right, Baby Freeman Number Two is on the way! Our due date is January 2nd, however, I think we will be seeing this tiny addition this year rather than next.
